POSITION: Tour & Travel Specialist (Travel Sales & Itinerary Development)

WHAT WE DO:
We book custom trips for clients desiring to visit destinations all over the world, with an added focus on what each region or country has to offer from the Wine enthusiast’s perspective. Most of the training is OJT but there are "Destination Specialist" courses you will be asked to take to continue to grow & develop your understanding of each country or region. In addition to preparing itineraries for clients, this position will include duties such as routinely making outbound marketing phone calls to Travel Agencies or other industry contacts, as well as responding to inbound phone calls from prospective clients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
We are seeking career-minded people who have superb written and verbal communication skills; excellent computer skills including Internet research, Word and Excel and who are "fearless" in breaking new ground and problem solving. This position may include some scheduled travel. CANDIDATE MUST BE WILLING & ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN SCHEDULED TRAVEL IN RELATION TO RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION (several times throughout the year).

Must be high school graduate (required); Bachelor’s degree (highly preferred); Educational focus on International or Foreign Studies ideal (not required); previous Travel/Tour industry helpful (not required). Must demonstrate outstanding abilities to multi-task and balance competing priorities at one time. Must be customer service oriented with a demonstrated STRONG ATTENTION TO DETAIL & FOLLOW-UP skill set!

Location: DTC Area
Compensation: includes an hourly rate of $13 base + commission/bonus/override structure. (There is a probationary period before comp plan is fully implemented.)

These positions should be considered Full-time, Hourly Non-Exempt (40 hours per week). Willing to consider part-time or fulltime; depending on background and experience.
