French Wine Tours
French Wine Tasting Vacation with Wine Tours of the World!
France produces more fine wines than any other country in the world. France is blessed with numerous locations in which fine wines can be made and a visitor is blessed with numerous options for wine tours of France.
France has more than 2 million acres of planted grapevines, and produces more fine wines than any other country. With impressive global influence, France has been producing wine since 600 BC., when the Greeks first introduced it to the people of this fertile land.
Officially, the French wine country can be divided into three regions based upon climate and location. The northern regions of Champagne and Burgundy tend to be on the cooler side, growing grapes with higher acidity levels such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. These are also the main grapes grown that create champagne. Southern France on the other hand, has a warmer Mediterranean climate that produces nice, ripe wines that are bold and luscious. Finally, the Atlantic coast, which includes Bordeaux and the Loire Valley, experience the maritime weather, which boasts the perfect conditions for producing some of the most expensive and well-known wines in the world.
Wine Tours of the World creates much more than the ordinary French wine tasting vacation. Immerse yourself in French culture when we combine tastings with several other unique activities.
