Washington County is part of a centuries-old wine making tradition, and is home to 16 of Oregons 217 wineries. Each wine has its own distinctive personality, and each showcases the delicate tastes of Oregon-grown grapes. This first winery owns and operates 840 acres of vineyards in the valleys of northern Oregon and slopes of eastern Washington. Growing in these diverse climates allows them to produce the best quality fruit for a wide selection of wines. After your tour and tasting, visit the marketplace to shop for unique gifts and gourmet products. Lunch will be al fresco on the winery patio.
After lunch you will continue past beautiful and bountiful farmlands to you resort accommodations in Silverton. This charming historic town is known as Oregons Garden City and is full of quaint gift and antique shops, art galleries, and wall-sized murals unique bigger-than-life works by local artists that tell the story of the towns past.

This afternoon, you have the option to relax at the resort, indulge yourself at the spa, stroll about town, or visit the Oregon Garden. Your resort is a gardenthemed property and the rooms are nestled in buildings throughout the grounds behind the main lodge. Each building has six rooms, featuring fireplaces and private landscaped patios. A full-service spa is located in the main lodge if you choose to enjoy a special treatment. The Oregon Garden is a world of botanical enchantment featuring more than 20 themed gardens across 80 acres that will delight the senses with its amazing living tapestry. You can walk around at your leisure or ride a tram for a 30-minute guided tour. Before leaving, you will also visit Frank Lloyd Wrights Gordon House, one of Oregons state architectural treasures and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Tonight you will dine at the resort where you can look out across the spectacular gardens and Willamette Valley. Day 3Oregon Wine Country
Delight in breakfast this morning at the resort, before enjoying another exciting day in wine country! Your first tasting will be in the rolling hills of the Willamette Valley. Situated in a natural weather shadow of the Coast Range, which shunt storms from the Pacific Ocean north to Portland and south below Salem, the vineyards are protected from weather extremes. Yet in summer, a gorge carved by ancient glaciers draws in maritime air to provide ideal cooling for sensitive varietals in those warmer months.
The next winery you visit practices sustainable farming and has been endorsed by internationally recognized LIVE (Low Impact Viticulture and Enology) and Salmon Safe. Pacific breezes embrace this beautiful winery and vineyards with their cooling effect as they enter the Willamette Valley through the pacific corridor. The pinot noir and pinot gris varietals planted on the hillside vineyards are the first to benefit each summer evening from the cool west wind that stamps the 100% estate wines with a bright fruit character, complexity and pleasing balance that is more like the wines of Burgundy than the Russian River, Sonoma or Napa Valley. Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing to your next winery.
The last winery on your tour today was one of the first vineyards in the Eola Hills, a chain of hills in the center of Oregon's Willamette Valley. This estate winery was established in 1984 and currently produces 10,000 cases of wine annually, most of which still comes from the 50 acre estate vineyard. They specialize in pinot noir, but also produce chardonnay, pinot gris and pinot blanc. The winery is perched on a bluff with a panoramic view of vineyards, valleys and distant mountains. Two families established the vineyard in 1977, in the Eola Hills northwest of Salem, Oregon. Twin brothers and their partners detoured into winemaking after trying their hands at other careers and interests. Recently the winery team has expanded to include second generation leadership and ownership, bringing youthful energy, talent and passion into the blend. Enjoy the warm hospitality and incredible wines on your private tour. Return to your hotel after an exciting day, to relax and freshen up before dinner. Your evening will include dinner at an intimate boutique restaurant sure to please every discerning palate. | Day 4Oregon Coast / Cannon Beach

After breakfast this morning, you will head to the coast and drive along the stunning Oregon coastline to Cannon Beach. On the way you will experience the wonderful world of the Tillamook Cheese and dairy product factory. You will be able to see them make the cheese and package the product as you learn about the history and the cheese-making process. Interactive kiosk screens teach you about the cooperative and products. After your self-guided tour, you can smell and taste the delicious aroma of freshly baked waffle cones that feature over 40 flavors each day. Or stop by the fudge counter to taste 16 different kinds of fudge made from fresh butter. The gift shop and gourmet store is the perfect place to pick up gifts and souvenirs. You will enjoy some local coastal cuisine for lunch before continuing to Cannon Beach.
For many, Cannon Beach, some 80 miles west of Portland, is the place for a summer sojourn. Bracketed by sea-splitting headlands and miles of wild sands, this town of 1,600 residents is a mix of upscale inns, funky motels, fine restaurants, chowder houses, and more than 20 art galleries and studios.
Once in Cannon Beach, you'll experience premium lodging at your oceanfront resort. The resort overlooks the sentinels of Haystack Rock and in the distance, Tillamook Lighthouse -- incredible backdrops for spectacular views adorned with stunning sunrises and sunsets. After you have checked into the lodge, you may wish to relax or explore the entertaining beach town. There are many shops, restaurants, and other activities in town to discover, all within walking distance. You may want to stop by a local glass blowing gallery that features a live view of glass blowing or just take a leisurely walk through the art driven community.
Your wine tour will conclude with a farewell dinner experience featuring true oceanfront dining at its best. The Executive Chef will wow you with his fresh approach to northwest coastal cuisine. Highlighting each ingredient with color, texture, seasonings, and special cooking techniques, he showcases northwest cuisine in what he describes as "simple elegance." Enjoy the view with your friends and savor the food and memories of your Oregon wine escape!
