Day 1Welcome to Portland, a modern river city with a bustling local scene, enticing restaurants and chic lodging options. After checking into your hotel, meet your guide for an epicurean walking tour of the city. The epicurean tour includes sampling over 25 different foods and drinks
something for every vacationers palette. After your tour, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 2Rise & Shine! Today is your first full day of wine tasting in the Willamette Valley. You will visit four of the valleys most prestigious wine estates for private tours and tasting. The day also features a wonderful wine country lunch. This evening, see the beautiful sites and skyline of Portland lit up while on your spectacular dinner cruise. The river vessel is a 150-foot luxury yacht that has three public viewing decks, two of which are enclosed for climate control. After your three course meal, sit back and enjoy the lights and sounds of the live music that will surely entertain all participants.
Day 3Visit many of Oregons most famous scenic attractions today as your private guide leads you through Multnomah Falls, the Columbia River and Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood! Your day includes visuals of tumbling waterfalls, incredible scenic overlooks, orchard-filled valleys, majestic mountains, and the Oregon Trail. The drive starts at sea level and climbs from to over 6000 feet in a perfect loop! Fruit markets and specialty stores dot the highway and welcome vacationers to stop and sample fresh produce. Once back in Portland, a dinner reservation awaits you for a perfect evening in this vibrant city.
Day 4The Pinot Noir wine of Oregon awaits you for another fabulous day of sipping in the Willamette Valley. Many believe this wine region is the top producer of Pinot Noir wine in the United States. Today will be the perfect setting for you to decide if this holds true. After concluding your Pinot Noir tastings, Wine Tours of the World has scheduled a tour of a famous cheese company. Lunch will be served at the cheese company restaurant. The menu is full of delicious choices that feature the fresh cheese and other artisan dairy products. This is also a great place to shop for unique souvenirs.
Day 5Pack your bags and head to the tranquil oceanside community of Cannon Beach. Cannon Beach overlooks Haystack Rock in the bay just off the town shores. Your seaside hotel features warm cozy guest rooms with a fireplace. The property has numerous amenities and a stately deck that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. After you get settled, take time to walk along the tranquil sandy beach. Keep a keen eye open for marine critters including migrating whales and otters. Day 6The day is yours to spend exactly how you wish. Climb into the saddle of a horse for a coastal guided riding tour. Maybe your interests are nautical. If so, Wine Tours of the World will arrange a fishing excursion or whale watching adventure. History buffs may choose to visit the seaside town of Astoria and follow the footsteps of Captain Cook and Lewis and Clark. Astoria is also known for its light hearted trolley tour and entertaining fishing docks.
Day 7In route to Portland
.one last wine tasting event has been scheduled. Oregon is home to a cultured antique community. While driving
watch for signage directing you to hidden treasures at the many antique dealers along the way. This evening, learn how to prepare the delicious seafood recipes of the Pacific Northwest at your private cooking class. Once your creations are completed, enjoy your tasty treats. Naturally, this event is perfectly paired with wine and tonight will be your farewell wine tasting educational experience on your Oregon vacation.
Day 8On the way to the airport, consider a detour to Portlands Washington Park, where you may stroll the beautiful Rose Test Garden and Japanese Garden. This is a perfect activity for lasting memories on your flight home.
