Itinerary
Day 1Welcome to Milan, Italy’s fashion Capital. After checking into your hotel, meet your guide for a private tour of the city. You will see impressive monuments and museums plus a long list of other attractions including the Duomo, Castello Sforzesco, Royal Palace and La Scala Theatre. After your tour, enjoy a peaceful evening and consider a quiet dining experience at your hotel. Day 2Discover the world of fashion in Milan, a city known for glamour and style. Your guide will point out the latest fashion trends new to the international design market. Look forward to a stop at the Galleria Vittorio Emmanuelle, the famed shopping arcade and its amazing boutiques. The Galleria Vittorio Emmanuelle is fabulous for a café lunch and people watching. In the afternoon, you will have a special pass to view Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece, The Las Supper, housed in Santa Maria delle Grazie. This evening, you will have your first wine tasting in a trendy upbeat Enoteca. Day 3This morning, it’s off to Torino (Turin), an unbelievable destination for all wine lovers. Upon arrival, enjoy another fascinating city tour that captures all the best sights including a very interesting automobile museum. Remember, Torino is the birthplace of the Fiat. Next, Wine Tours of the World has arranged a chocolate and wine tasting before concluding your day with a romantic dinner. Reservations will be provided. Day 4The Borolo wine region is the focus for today’s wine tasting. You will visit the Wine Bank in Pollenzo and enjoy special tastings at two other local estates. Look forward to a precious white truffle tastings and tour the charming village of Alba before returning to Torino. Restaurants will be recommended for your lunch and dinner culinary experiences. Day 5Today you will experience the wines of Barbaresco! The wine estates in the Lange hills are very picturesque so a camera will be your friend today. A Italian gourmet lunch will be included with your wine tasting experience. Day 6Travel to Cinque Terre today and visit lovely Portofino in route to lunch. Upon arriving in breathtaking Cinque Terre, take time to explore a portion of the 5 coastal villages. Your guide is available to make all your wishes a reality. | Day 7Free time in Cinque Terre to experience the quant cafés and breathtaking visuals. Day 8It’s off to Torino, stopping to taste the bubbly wines of Asti. You will also be guests for another magnificent lunch of Northern Italian cuisine. Day 9Journey to beautiful Lake Como today stopping to take in local sights and lake front scenery along the way. A perfect lakeside hotel and scrumptious dinner awaits your arrival. Day 10Bring your boat shoes for an indescribable tour on vessel and around Lake Como, the third largest lake in Italy. The afternoon is set aside for time to walk the delightful streets of Bellagio. This will certainly prove to be a memorable day for years to come. Day 11Spend time at your leisure exploring Lake Como. You may wish to pamper yourself and check into a stylish spa, or relax among nature in one of the beautiful parks and gardens. This evening, you will experience a hands-on Italian cooking class, and your culinary creations are served for dinner with exquisite Italy wine. Day 12It’s time to say goodbye to all your “new” Italian friends and pack for a return flight home. |
