Itinerary

Day 1Last minute preparation should be concluded before your international flight to Germany. Check your travel list and make sure not to forget important items like your pass port.

Day 2Welcome to Frankfurt, the gateway to Germany’s wine country. Sit back and relax as your guide escorts you to a 4 star hotel. Vacations always look forward to unpacking and time to freshen up before venturing out. The remainder of today is set aside for exploring your marvelous hotel and the surrounding area. This evening, a dinner reservation awaits your arrival.



Day 3Today starts with a city tour of Frankfurt. This truly is a marvelous historical city and helps set the stage for your vacation. The city tour includes important sights of Frankfurt such as the Museum Embankment, Historic Stock Exchange, Apple Wine District, Opera House and the old town center. At the conclusion of your city tour…. A transfer is in place to the Ahr wine region. Upon arrival, stretch your legs by taking a walk along the “Red Wine Trail”. This is a perfect opportunity to taste delicious wines indicative of the area. This evening, try your luck gaming at the ritzy casino located in your hotel.

Day 4This morning starts with a Rhine-Steamer cruise on the most scenic stretch of the mighty Rhine River. At the conclusion of the cruise a driver will be waiting for you in Rudesheim. Your driver will escort you to three winery tours and tastings today. This evening relax at your hotel and enjoy a feast of regional German cuisine and local folk music.

Day 5Stroll through Drosselgasse, a famous narrow street lined with wine taverns, historical homes and gardens. Visit the Wine Museum at Broemserburg Castle, and enjoy a variety of wine tastings at the colorful and lively wine taverns. The local German food is a perfect conclusion to this spirited day. Dining suggestions and recommendations are provided for your evening at leisure.


Day 6After a hearty breakfast, you will board a ferry headed to the famous town of Bingen, for an educational wine tasting. Next up is Bermersheim where you will taste the sweet wines of Trockenbeerenauslesen and Eiswein. Conclude your perfect German wine tasting day with a transfer to Worms for a historical tour of this charming hamlet before private time on your own this evening.


Day 7By the end of this wine tasting day, you will have toured the sights of Speyer and Baden Baden, seeing two of Germany’s most impressive architectural sights. Additionally, you will be the special guests of two local vintners. A stop is included for tasting fresh artisan cheese at a local cheese factory. Dinner reservations this evening will be available upon request.

Day 8Your wine journey continues as you make your way to Trier, the oldest town in Germany once known as “Second Rome.” You will check into a 4 star hotel located in the heart of this ancient town. In the afternoon discover the unbelievable historical sights of Trier. The local guide has folk lore tails to amuse all vacationers. Consider concluding your day with pool and spa services available at your hotel.


Day 9Look forward to another full day of wine sipping along the Mosel River wine region. This region is also known for more exceptional cheeses. There will be several opportunities to sample the German cheeses of this region. This evening consider dining at a very prestigious restaurant that features over 200 wine selections.

Day 10The Black Forest is your vacation focus for the day. This day has an antiquities focus with visits to the museums of Heidelberg and Karlsruhe Palace. Heidelberg is very beautiful and offers many scenic encounters, so don’t forget the camera. Your accommodations tonight have you staying at a medieval castle. Here you will dine with candle light within ancient stone walls.



Day 11Rise and shine this morning for a trip to Frankfurt. In route to Frankfurt, look forward to visiting a traditional cuckoo-clock factory along the way. Your day also include 2 additional wine tastings featuring the wines of Franken. Tonight you will have an authentic Ratskeller-type dinner waiting for you at popular city restaurant.

Day 12Say your goodbyes to the picturesque olde world country of Germany as you board your flight for your journey home.
