Day 1Welcome to Adelaide! Upon your arrival you will transfer to your inter-Australian flight to Kangaroo Island. Your guide will take you to your deluxe, river accommodations located on the island’s eastern shore. Check in and relax before exploring this incredible and unimaginable destination. A beautiful meal will be served in the hotel restaurant this evening and will include a welcome bottle of Australia wine! Day 2After a delicious breakfast, your island tour includes a variety of wildlife experiences and a gourmet BBQ in the bush! Take the afternoon to explore the island and then it’s time for a peaceful sunset walk along a sandy beach before dinner. Day 3Flinders Chase National Park covers over 200,000 acres and is home to rare animal species. Cape du Couedic is a marine wonderland! Watch seals carry on their daily routine as you stand before Admiral’s Arch, a spectacular coastal grotto. Then, enjoy a special wine tasting. Sample six sought-after Australian wines that will be paired with fresh, local foods. Next is a short flight to Adelaide, where you will be transferred to your hotel. Consider a quiet diner at your hotel this evening because tomorrow will be a full day of wine adventure. Day 4The Barossa Valley is Australia’ most well-known wine region. Enjoy the wine and specialty foods at your private appointments today! Day 5Begin the day with a tour of Adelaide. Enjoy the city’s top attractions stopping at the Central market, a grand marketplace featuring more than 80 stores and traders. Shops here include bakery items, fruits and vegetables to seafood, gourmet cheese and confectionery treats. Then it’s off the Wine Centre, where Australia’s 53 wine regions are the focus of this educational center. Make your own virtual wine and taste a variety of Australian vintages. A chocolate tasting will complete your tour and will be held at a famous chocolate factory. Day 6Time to experience the wines of Adelaide Hills, one of the most charming wine regions in Australia. After you winery appointments, find a special wine country dinner waiting for you at a premium wine estate. | Day 7Board a plane to Perth this morning and find your tour guide waiting to show you the port city of Fremantle. Your adventures today include a Tree Top Walk, and a boat ride through Millionaires’ Row. A wine tasting and lunch will also be served. In Perth enjoy the city’s top sites. Day 8Wine taste through the Swan River wine region. Your guide will lead you through the best areas, stopping for lunch. After your wine tours, board a boat for a float trip on the river in route to Perth. Day 9Enjoy lovely Rottnest Island today. Bikes, kayaks, snorkeling equipment and fishing gear will all be supplied. Your day will include a visit to a sacred spot that is very important to the Aboriginal people. Lunch, drinks and wine are also a part of your day. Day 10Board a short flight to Margaret River. Margaret River is home to over 350 limestone caves. So don your hardhat for an adventure spelunking underground as your guide leads you through Jewel and Mammoth caves with spectacular views of stalactites and stalagmites. A hearty gourmet box lunch will be served in the Karri Rainforest. Spend the rest of the day exploring the area’s other major attractions. Day 11Taste your way through the best Margaret River wineries today. Look forward to a savory cheese and chocolate tastings along the way. A farewell dinner will be waiting for you at a prestigious winery. Then it’s time to pack your bags in preparation for an early morning flight home. |
