Welcome to California! Upon arrival into San Francisco, gather your luggage from the baggage claim area and meet your BART train outside of the main terminal to travel by commuter rail to Union Square, downtown San Francisco.

Get ready for an incredible California Wine Adventure! For the next few days, you will be spending your time in the heart of San Francisco, the idyllic Golden Gate City. Your four-star hotel is located in the heart of Fishermans Wharf, San Franciscos most popular destination. Known for its historic waterfront, delicious seafood, spectacular sights and unique shopping, Fishermans Wharf offers a wide array of things to do for everyone. This evening, dinner reservations can be made upon request at one of the citys top restaurants, if you desire. Day 2San Francisco at Leisure
Relax - the entire day is yours to design! San Francisco has unparalled history, popular culture, breathtaking beauty and renowned attractions, and the best way to experience this is by getting outside and exploring the best of what The City has to offer.
You may want to consider visiting a few of the city attractions to highlight your experience while here. This evening, recommendations can be made for dining out, music, and entertainment options within a short walk of your hotel. You may want to experience dining at one of the many award-winning restaurants located just adjacent to the hotel; many overlook the beautiful San Francisco Bay and the Embarcadero, all of which serve some of the freshest seafood and California cuisine in the entire city. Day 3San Francisco at Leisure
Once again, spend the entire day at leisure exploring this incredible cosmopolitan city on your own. Considering your hotel has an ideal location central to everything, be sure to make the best of your time!

For your consideration, we have included a visit to Alcatraz Island as part of your daily activities. Take an exciting ride on the National Park Services private boat and enjoy an educational first-hand tour of this legendary prison. Restaurant recommendations can be made for you at your request, however step right outside of your hotel and you will find many excellent choices. Chinatown is within a short walk, and there are many terrific wine cafés and bistros in the vicinity serving the best seafood and California cuisine. Tomorrow, you will depart for California Wine Country, so you may wish to make it an early evening. Day 4Travel to Sonoma Wine Country
Enjoy a hearty breakfast this morning because today you will depart for California Wine Country to enjoy a full day of wine tasting at two prestigious wineries, in addition to a tour and tasting of the best olive oil of the region, en route to your hotel in Santa Rosa.
Today, you will enjoy a vintage tour and tasting to learn about the history of the winery and its winemaking techniques. Your tour will conclude with a sampling of four different wines along with a variety of imported Italian cheeses for your delight. Make plans to enjoy lunch at the winerys delicatessen on your own.
After your tour, enjoy a still and sparkling wine tasting on the winerys spectacular terrace, a sun-drenched veranda overlooking the vineyards.
The final stop of your afternoon will be to Sonoma Countys first, and only, olive mill for a tour and tasting of their award-winning olive oils. Created in 1995 by two California olive growers and producers who were inspired by the olive pressing facilities of Italy and Southern France, this olive mill is dedicated to making only the finest California Extra Virgin Olive Oil for its customers. You will enjoy a private tour of the mill, where the knowledgeable staff will guide you through the milling process step by step. November is a particularly good time to see the pressing take place firsthand! After the tour, delight in a tasting, where the Tasting Bar will have up to eight fresh California olive oils available to sample.
This evening, after you have had time to unpack and relax, you may dine at any one of the fabulous restaurants found in the surrounding area. Bon Appetit! | Day 5Redwoods & Sonoma Wine Tour
This morning, start your Wine Country Experience off by driving over to Armstrong Redwoods State Park, located just minutes away in Guerneville. The best way to experience the dramatic affect of the towering redwoods is to take a short, easy stroll along several level trails, highly accessible to each visitor of the park. Be sure to pack yourself a picnic to enjoy lunch today among the splendor of the Redwoods!

Following your afternoon adventures, prepare to board the Napa Valley Wine Train for a sunset dinner through Napa Valley, which includes a wine tasting aboard! Check in time for the train is 5:45 p.m. with departure at 6:30 p.m. For the 3-hour ride, you will be seated in the Vista Dome Car, which is a circa 1950s glass domed Railcar, beautifully appointed in velveteen high-backed chairs for maximum comfort and elevated dining. The Vista Dome Car has its own specialized kitchen for freshly preparing the daily and special event menus. During your journey, you will experience perfect views of the manicured vineyards and unique architecture of Napa Valleys wineries.

Upon completion of your wine tour, you may drive yourself back to your hotel to enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure. Dinner recommendations can be made upon request. Day 6Napa Valley, Calistoga and St. Helena
A passion for great food accompanied by terrific wine will be uncorked for you today! After breakfast this morning, enjoy a lovely, scenic drive through Napa Valley to the spa town of Calistoga.

Next, you will have a chance to discover the beauty of downtown St. Helena, walking about at leisure while you get to know first-hand what makes this one of Napa Countys favorite destinations. Discover historic homes and gardens on less-traveled streets. Savor superb artisan foods, wines and chocolates at specialty food shops, bakeries and bistros.
Later this afternoon, a cooking demonstration has been arranged to complement your Wine Country experience. Step into a Culinary Institute of America (CIA) classroom kitchen and meet the chefs, food purveyors, and winemakers that make Napa County the penultimate food and wine destination. Your cooking school creates a relaxed, festive environment for everyone, from beginners to seasoned chefs alike.
Finally, you will enjoy another tour and tasting at a winery owned by celebrated movie director and producer, Francis Ford Coppola. The science, the art, the magical and the whimsical are common denominators that frequently coalesce in the course of any given tasting experience at this fun and fascinating Rutherford winery.
After a complete day of activities, be sure to make your final evening in Wine Country a memorable one! Recommendations for a farewell dinner can be made at your request.
Day 7Departure
This morning, enjoy the final hours of your trip to California Wine Country by doing some last minute souvenir shopping or by enjoying a cup of coffee and a warm croissant at a local bakery.
In preparation of your flight home, be sure to pack away all of the memories youve earned from your celebrated travel adventure in remarkable California Wine Country!
